The Beatles are to appear on a set of stamps featuring images of their most famous album covers.
The collection of six stamps includes covers of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Abbey Road, Revolver, Let It Be and With The Beatles.

The stamps will go on sale in January 2007 as a tribute to the band.

Who would you put on a Stamp???? ;)

Reminds me of an old joke whereby stamps showing the image of a leader (any leader, depending on your political preferences / circumstances) had to be returned as people kept spitting on the wrong side...

..."The only image [face] that may be shown on U.K. stamps was that of the Queen."

I certainly would not go out of my way to buy a stamp with 'The Beatles' on it!

Rule was once ....
no 'living person' .. except the Queen

a rule that was broken quite a few years back with the appearance of another pop performer on a stamp

You don't have to be famous to be on a stamp nowadays
