Summary dismissal.

  Kevscar1 10:13 24 Jul 2010

Please don't try and blame this on the Police. They brought charges against them so not their fault and unlike civilians who got off the officers still face disciplinary procedings. Double jeopardy which no civilian has to face.

  sunnystaines 10:23 24 Jul 2010

if your caught pay up its that simple.

  Quickbeam 11:10 24 Jul 2010

Summary dismissal in the first instance for falsifying records would render a secondary internal disciplinary investigation unnecessary.

  Kevscar1 13:07 24 Jul 2010

They have to have disciplinary hearing to give a summary dismissal. The court has no power to fire them even if the charge was murder or treason

after the Ian Tomlinson outrage when a police office becomes immune to being charged with his manslaughter or even to the lesser charge of assault which was seen by thousands of people(see link:a judge has been asked to stand down)

Yet once again the public see the police as "getting away with it) so its no surprise that evidence that would prove a civilian guilty of a driving offence,is discarded when it is the police who is on trial.

When is this pattern of police immunity going to stop?

jakimo suggest you read your own link before shouting out. What Judge. No judge has been involved because there hasn't been a court case.

Judging by your recent posts, you really are anti police arent you?

  jakimo 16:00 24 Jul 2010

Your quite right I made a typing error, but knit picking doesn't reduce the substance of my post? and does not make it less likely that Tomlinson was assaulted

Kevscar..I realize your biased when it comes to police matters, but when was a police officer last charged for assault or ever found guilty, thats why the immunity claim is being raised by so many, and particularly so in this case as PC Harwood has a past history of aggressiveness on his record
