What weighs a million tonnes and is the size of Texas?

An enormous floating island of debris from Japan’s 2011 tsunami, drifting towards the coast of America.

I can't believe that no attempt to clean up this mess has been made. Presumably someone will have to foot the bill for the clean up when it eventually reaches land. .

I once got tsunami for my first word in a scrabble game ... used all my letters ... and got 50 points bonus [and a round of applause!]

It might not be all that bad.

This can't be the first instance of this happening, and I doubt that you can hold anyone responsible to be able to sue them.

"that would cover an area the size of Texas."

Note The Independant's use of the word "would", which begs the question, how thinly would all that junk have to be spread-out to cover that area?

All that free driftwood etc, lots of uses :)

There are people in some countries that would be pleased to receive such a gift.

Free delivery too, whether you want it or not.

Possibly some bodies in that lot.

  sunnypete 10:47 07 Nov 2013

51st State? have to change Old Glory again? Incidentally, VCR97 don't seem to have seen you for a while. As I recall, that was a CRT some folks used for their first TV?
