What type of paint?

Strange one this folks,what I am looking for is the type of paint to work on this.

I've not long finished using it for some medical treatment I needed and would like to mod it.

This is molded with the Aquaplast system,I not sure what type of plastic so whence unsure of the best type of paint.

If you are going to use a spray paint, make sure you test it first on a part that will not show. This is best done by spraying some paint into the lid of the can, and then applying a tiny amount using a cotton bud or similar.
Try to find out the material it is made of, from the manufacturer, perhaps with help from your Health Authority. You may find that your item will need an intermediate coat before the top coat. I seem to remember that aircraft aluminium need a coat of self-etch, in order that the top coat could be properly applied. This material may be similar.
