Since yesterday morning I have had a very noticeable reduction in the amount of spam I am getting in my email. I am with Virgin Media and when checking my email first thing in the morning I normally have a few dozen spam emails. Yesterday and today I have had less than a dozen. It looks like Virgin Media have upgraded their email spam filters. They did this a few years ago with a similar result, well done VM. Anyone else seen a reduction?
I made a complaint to virgin about receiving spam after checking my account with them on line on thursday or friday.Automated reply saying they would be in touch within 3 days.You never know it may have helped but doubtful.
Virgin are migrating their multiple email services across Google Mail, it could be that your account has been moved and your witnessing one of the benefits of Google Mail, their rather excellent spam filters.
Mind you if you had moved I would have expected even less spam in your inbox, I get less than one a week that fails to hit the spam folder, and about one false positive every couple of months.
