What made you smile today...?

I went out to the supermarket, and waiting in the delivery Q was a McVities lorry, liveried as a Jamaica ginger cake wrapper.

On the back doors the logo read...
'NO CAKE LEFT IN THIS TRUCK OVERNIGHT!'.

Well it made me smile... or am I too easily pleased?

The instructions on the Blood Pressure machine in the hospital.

Half way down the list of instructions was "In the event of an error code or no reading check patient first."

Also on a pack of painkillers:

Do not take if you are in the first 3 months of pregnancy

and then further down the list...

Do not take if you are in the last 6 months of pregnancy.

Attorney: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
Witness: No.

Attorney: Did you check for blood pressure?
Witness: No.

Attorney: Did you check for breathing?
Witness: No.

Attorney: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
Witness: No.

Attorney: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
Witness: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.

Attorney: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
Witness: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Topcat. Thanks for that. There were some new ones in there, well new to me anyway.

The thing that makes me smile every day is the arrival of my grand daughter. Her smile is so infectious it drives away a lot of worries.

The news that I suffer from Cenosillicaphopbia, but that there is a cure.

It means fear of an empty glass and the barmaid cured me within seconds of me walking into my club last night...:-)
