I use at home a 15" monitor with the settings at 800X600 but with the larger monitors coming in now what are the members preferences to screen size and settings

My work computer is 17" with 1024X768 ;)

Home and work both using 17" 1024 x 768.

When teaching programs at work, often have to reset the display settings as the "younger generation" appear to like a much higher setting.
Too small for me and the older trainees to see clearly.

1680x1050 gives me plenty of room to work with.

i would have thought 1280x1024 was the most common

19" LCD running at the native 1280x1024.

Same as above 1280 x 1024

Agree, well worth the extra cost.

"19" LCD running at the native 1280x1024"

Agreed.

But as for the most common i would hazard a guess at 17" TFT at 1024 x 768.

Have had in the past a ILiama 17" CRT 1024 X 768
Currently a 17" TFT 1280 X 1024, but even at that "native" resolution it seems to give a sharper image and I'm happy with it and .... it has a much smaller footprint!

A huge screen would be nicer still, but you asked what do people use!

2x "19" LCD running native at 1280x1024.

  GaT7 19:09 09 Oct 2006

19" widescreen TFT running at the native 1440x900 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio).

A little more than a month ago I'd been using a 15" CRT at 800x600 for several years - took me a while to adjust to the new display as you can imagine! And I've grown to love it : )) G
