His comment "That means paying them more when on active service", he says, "housing them better and providing for the best medical and respite care if injured." sums things up.

Service personnel know the dangers when they join up. Some even join up for that reason but we need to treat them well for their risk taking.

But surely his efforts are just a very minute tip of the iceberg.

Its the government and especially the MOD who want to get their act together, possibly by public pressure on a large scale.But alas, I can never see this happening.

Yes he is like a breath of spring air, and I say that as a committed atheist. I heard him on R4 about a year ago and thought then what a remarkable man he is.
