When they identify them the police should make them known to the relevant servicemen so that they can seek recompense!

That's a bit of a silly idea, isn't it? Things like this happen - there were similar instances with fake American service people emailing from Iraq.

Criminals aren't going to toe the morality line - if they did they wouldn't be criminals.
