Each time a major spammer is stopped we all benefit. It might only be by a tiny amount, but we do - the internet speeds up just a little bit as tens of millions of spam messages die and are not replaced.

Gradually the world will get to grips with the scourge that is spamming; it isn't going to happen overnight, and it may never be a total success, but it's good to see the American federal law being enforced in this way. I hope this sends a message to other, less determined governments.

I think the investigating team which brought him to justice deserve a very large pat on the back too.
