Retirement Planning

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock a few years ago, it
would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would
have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer/wine one year
ago, drank all the beer/wine, then turned in the cans/bottles
for the aluminium recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to
Drink heavily and recycle.

"Is this true?"

Truth is merely an aspect of reality.

'Truth is merely an aspect of reality'

Reality is an illusion caused by the lack of alcohol.

What is certainly true is that if you're a pensioner in Canada you probably check the Nortel stock price religiously, every day.

Lots of Canadian pension fund managers invested heavily in Nortel, back in the good old days when the price was riding high. Things did change quite dramatically for Nortel, but the company is still there, fighting a recovery battle.

I'm glad you have confirmed it.....Will now dispose of all investments, and put all funds into aforementioned wines / beers etc

Hopefully in a safe place to stop any evaporation!!!!
