Trade Minister

Why on earth do we appoint a minister for trade, who because of his "Ethical concerns" refuses to to back one of our biggest exporters which employs around 300,000 people?

He shouldn't be able to pick and choose which bits of his job he will do and which ones he won't.

If he is that ethically concerned he should do the same as thousands of others, and actively campaign against the issues he has concerns with.

Imagine if you were advertising manager for a major retailer and said you wouldn't promote any of their meat products because you were a veggie.

Someone did there homework before this appointment, that would be like making the pope CEO of Durex

I wonder how selective he was, when he was in charge of HSBC?.

The only option here, is to get someone who is prepared to promote this country, and not themselves. But that could become extremely difficult?.

I see in this mornings Telegraph that Lord Green has "Overcome personal issues" with regard to the Arms Industry.
"That fills me with great confidence"
I think not!
