Its a bit like some of our MP's stating that they work extremely hard for the public on the whole, and at the same time have a number of 'outside - well rewarding extra interests' that can take up a large amount of time.

Apparently with that interview, it would appear the Lord Mayor of London job is a six day week ;o))

If he does a six-day week then it's one day more than most people do.

not because of the nature of the story, (politician has outside job), but because of the comment, coming from Boris Johnson himself, that a salary of £250,000 is "chicken feed"! (19 seconds in to this clip.)

How much more out of touch can he be?

A closed mouth gathers no foot

Just thinking.......... I could probably retire if I received a lump sum of £250,000 now.

It is chicken feed, considering that the head of BA is prepared to lose a months salary of £61.000.00, and expects all the other employees to release part of their monthly salary, so as to help BA out of the present financial situation ;o(

Also chicken feed considering the budget that the london assemly must have, which he deals with (hopefully!) on a daily basis
