Toshiba ~ a step too far

  wee eddie 14:48 18 May 2009

The current Toshiba Adverts are invasive beyond normal.

Any mouse passing over, activates them and the "Close" Buttons are really only accessible by crossing the other advert.

If they are not made user friendly soon, I shall activate all my Pop-up Blockers which will not benefit the site.

see what u mean - very invasive. For some reason my IE8 Pop-up blocker won't 'block' them. Understand the reason for ads etc, as per recent thread, but before too long we'll be referring to this PCA site as PC 'Advertiser' and not so much 'Advisor'.

& now gone. Much better.

These ads are actually a lot better than the usual ones in Chrome - I've just done a good deal of mousing over both ads on this page and nothing has leapt out at me...

Refresh the page then DONT hover above them.?

  wee eddie 15:17 18 May 2009

On a small screen 15" the only way you can get to the Refresh button is by crossing one of them.

You don't need to hover, just cross them.

The little X buttons are covered by the subsequent screen.

We're looking into it. It shouldn't be that invasive.

Still a problem here. What did you tweak?
