Backbench tory mp's will next week try to engineer a vote on an amendment of the queens speech to include a future EU referendum.

Are they trying to force Cameron to act before the general election?

Will this put pressure on the leadership.

Will Cameron still be Tory leader in 2015?

Strange world we really live in, because I was watching the BBC Freeview program the other week, and it was clearly stated that backbench motions were started by "the government", and perhaps not those who appears to raise the subject?.

Perhaps should state BBC Parliament Freeview program.

Nadine Dorris. Who has just had the whip returned to her. Is heading off to her office to add her signature to the document.

Looks as if Lord Lamont is chucking his hat in for the referendum.

Perhaps the real question should be has

"David Cameron ever actually been the Tory Leader ?"

If he was a football manager he would have been sacked long ago

Cheers HC

Yes, but even if the amendment was supported by a majority vote it wouldn't mean that there has to be a referendum.

Will this put pressure on the leadership.

Yes

Will Cameron still be Tory leader in 2015?

Probably, but who knows?

Nadine Dorris must haunt David Cameron's dreams, and not in a nice way.

She epitomises the phrase 'loose cannon'.
