The greed of some people knows no bounds, They should have been thrown out not just suspended.

Its usually the other way around, they can be sacked more than once from their job, then get a peerage (Baron Mandelson is a prime example)

Luckily, for them, they were not in China or they would have been suspended by their fat necks.

Why aren't they being prosecuted??????????? If a benefit fiddler had got away with a quarter of what they fiddled he or she would be in prison.

How many people on benefits can claim £175 per week let alone £175 PER DAY??

Do these people even have any knowledge of how anyone outside there exclusive circle lives?

there, of course, should be their!

Why aren't this lot in the pokey?

  Forum Editor 18:33 21 Oct 2010

Because as far as I'm aware none of them have been convicted of a criminal offence.

"Police investigations into Uddin's and Paul's expenses were dropped after a Lords committee clarified the rules on expenses in January to allow peers to justify calling a property their main home, even if they had visited it just once a month."

"Lord Strathclyde, the leader of the Lords, said: "I was shocked and appalled by these cases. There was a clear and serious abuse of taxpayers' money. The penalties recommended would be the toughest handed out by the House of Lords"

Clearly Lord Strathclyde also thought they should be in the poky, and you do not get suspended unless you break the rules

'cos their pals (Peers) changed the rules! Just because you change the rules doesn't mean you didn't commit a criminal offence before the rule change, but it does mean you can avoid getting banged up.
