Symantec to buy Sygate.

I wonder if this will mean the end of the free Personal Firewall, that I know many members enjoy.

Yet another well respected company gets "gobbled up" by a massive corporation :-(

When you look at what happened to the original Norton products, (when they were really good) it doesn't bode well in my opinion.

Very, very sad news.

Just bloody superb. We'll be paying 30 odd quid now for the "free" sygate firewall.

I bet it won't be half as good either when symantec get their hands on it.

One wonders who will they gobble up next : ( G

I didn't literally mean we would actually be buying it. It was more comment (lack of grammar here) that they'll probably be charging 30 quid for something that was once free.

Of course I'll use Zone Alarm free edition.
