Today we enjoyed five and a half hours of sunshine. Reminded me of summer; so can anyone top that for today?

Took a drive from Nairn to Dufftown this morning, over the moors. Wall to wall sunshine there and back. 19C at 1500 hours. Started raining about 1930.

Been on the beach today but had my waterproof jacket on when I went paddling. We had 2 hours of sunshine :)

It's the Jetstream that has moved South. Stopped the Azores High from coming in from the Atlantic.

Good to know that it hasn't anything to do with global warming then. :)
Suerly someone in these isles as had ONE day of summer without rain? Possibly?

Now that's something I like to keep an eye on when I plan activities for a few days ahead. It is a good indicator of the coming weather and it's quite accurate too on the whole. TC.

I have thrown away all the suntan lotions in the house, all we use now is WD40 - applied liberally to prevent the rust!!

Thanks for the link.
Living in a mountainous area, though, gives a climate for more rainfall. click here

Maybe September will be a little drier?
