Dozens of surprises over the years. Still cannot understand people bidding for a used, non functioning standard biro pen. Then paying £2.50 plus £1.00 postage for the privilege.

Then there was the auction of a can of fresh Welsh air, and it sold!.

Somebody sold a cherry stone once! It was mentioned in an article about eBay on the Gadget Show. Apparently, it was a really nice cherry. Absolute nutjob!

There was the (in)famous banana that had been handled by some GMTV bimbo that sold for several thousands of pounds a few months ago. By the time the auction was over the fruit had rotted (whether by age or through the person handling it, I don't know).

selfrighteous comments very tiresome.

Bimbo! Do you have evidence to collaborate this?

Bimbo = a young woman considered to be attractive but not intelligent.

An empty crisp packet. Anyone using Buy-it-now for £1 got a free empty M&Ms packet.

The weirdest thing I've ever seen on eBay was a haunted wardrobe.
