I must admit a great win.
But I don't fancy having to sit and watch his next match.
I am afraid that we are spoiled by some of the quick finishing snooker players nowadays and watching Steve play could put you to sleep.
Would I like him to win Yes would I watch him playing again No.
Best of luck to him on his next match but feel sorry for whoever it is that he has to play.

U know in the 80's & 90's i never really liked him! i thought he was too plain & his snooker wasnt exciting! BUT in the last ten years or so ive REALY taken a liking to him! i think he's fantastic...& i wish him well!

at least for this year, but as he said, at this stage in his career the occasional good win renews his enthusiasm and love of the game, so he'll keep on trying.

It must be 20 plus years since he said that the game gave him everything, lifestyle, money, home etc, and that he would never walk out on the game because he'd gotten all he could out of it. He seems a man of his word.
