In this months pc gamer there is an article on starforce which is a copywrite protection program. I had a look to see if I had it and there it was. It just go's to show what is installed when you click the agree box without reading the terms when installing stuff. If you want to see if you have it look in device manager, hardware, view, hidden devices, non plug and play devices.

X3 single player demo is the mention of it installing Starforce though when I put the demo on my pc!

Having said that I already knew the demo was Starforce ptrotected....and I don't seem to be having any problems with it.

I've read a lot about it on the web....not much of it good!

Yea I've just read PC Gamer mag and, yep I got the thing aswell (damn them to hell!!!!). If you right click on each in device manager you can disable them but I'm not sure how the pc performs without them running as yet.......I'll let you know.

The number 1 PC game in America didn't use any Copy protection!

I just had to say that.
