.. when asked through the year, "Is it time for Christmas posts?".

And one for all those who either hate wasting electricity or have neighbours they wish to annoy. Merry Chistmas

Nicely understated.

I am glad there was nothing tacky, like the Nativity figures dancing!

That's an excellent first link, but I imagine people might think me a tad abrupt if I posted it in response to an enquiry, and we all know that I'm never abrupt.

When you look at the stats about Christmas 'Merry' is the last word that comes to mind

Robbery crime - up

Divorce - up

Family punch up's and failings out -common

Which I guess has everything to do with this time of year long nights SAD syndrome etc.

I wonder if Chrisdtmas is more cheerful in Australia in mid summer?

SparkyJack - On his Australian Run, Father Christmas has six snow-white kangaroos to pull his sleigh in the blazing sun...don't you know!

Have a listen to Rolf's "Six White Boomers".

I once spent Christmas with friends who live in Sydney. We were on the beach after breakfast on Christmas day, and it didn't feel a bit like Christmas to me. I suppose it all depends on what you're used to.
