Hi Stuartli why do you not have a Makro card now ? i dont go in there much but the Makro mail gets sent to my email and sometimes they have these disc as buy 1 get 1 free so its worth going in then ,shame they put the vat on when you get to the till.

Because I gave up the position as my Con Club's club secretary a while back so lost the use of the card, which covered all departments.

Re the VAT - Makro is a major cash and carry outlet and consequently adds VAT to its prices as this would normally be claimed back by (business) customers.

I just off to get the blank dvd disc they have offer as well buy 25 get 25 free. You can always go in with a friend who has a card.
Costco just opened up near me and they already have the vat on.

I'm well aware of that but both the Makro stores near me are some 20 miles away...:-)

I only go now if it's absolutely essential - I can order most stuff online at similar prices and have it delivered next day.

In fact Makro isn't as cheap for many things as you would be given to believe.
