Seems that many are unaware of the ban on 1st July & how it will effect smokers.

No

Just another government restriction on our personal freedom.

  TalYasis 16:19 30 May 2007

Yes,very much so.

I won't have to stand indoors next to smelly smokers who pretend not to exhale into my face as they blow the smoke over their shoulder.

We have had the smoking ban here in Wales for a while now, best thing that ever happened.

One day in the future people will not believe that smoking was ever aloud in public places.

No more smoke emanating from the room next to the canteen at work :-)

Would have bothered me a while back, but not now. Stopped 11 months ago, and now I realise how awful the smell is.

  anskyber 17:00 30 May 2007

Yes. Clean air at last.

Yes - not "just another government restriction on our personal freedom" - a very welcome move long overdue.

I will be able to go out in the evening to a pub or restaurant and not return home smelling like an old ashtray.

Ditto here in Scotland, as you say future generations will look back and wonder why we would want to kll ourselves by smoking.
