Microsoft Annouced it would not be making a Service Pack 5 for Windows 2000, but would rather do a Windows Update Rollup.

As of today, Wednesday 27th Dec, Microsoft's website for windows updates - the Windows Update Catalog Site (visit click here)
and select Updates for Windows Operating Systems...

You'll see available are Updates for Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 5 in all flavours; professional, server, advanced server etc.

Has Microsoft finally decided to ship?

Is this a Christmas present from Bill for us all?
Seriously though it would be nice if they carried on supporting it, after all it's only right after the amount some of us have spent on it?

We use 2000 Server @ work nad it will mean we can now operate it for longer knowing that the product is being supported by MS. The migration to a new platform will be soon, but this gives us time to decide on what to go for next.

Could be right "The Brigadier" kind of Bill to do this for us!!
