Has anyone any experience of how well they deal with disabled customers, who cannot carry anything nor walk more than 25 yds and stairs longer than 5 steps are impossible. Problems caused by severe COPD.

We have been away with Saga a few times and on all occasions there have been some who were less able. On one trip there was a chap who had taken his electric trike.

Generally the more able keep an eye on those less mobile and check they are OK. Airports are probably the worst problems as in the UK you need to rely on the representative (and they tend to be a very mixed bag) so it would be worth stipulating needs at the time of booking. Overseas airports can only be described as worse so others in the group are probably your best bet.

Hotels and facilities are described quite well in the brochures, but it is worth specifying any particular needs. Most, if not all, hotels have lifts from the foyer. But, if the brochure says steps they normally mean lots and if it talks of slopes read that as steep.

Not knowing where you are thinking of going I can`t be any more specific (if we`ve been to the resort in the first place!!!).

Hope this helps.
