Been the target of many financial scam spams over the years but I've just had a new one, which seems to be targeted. It's from a US noncom in Iraq who has found a lot of currency in a barrel and needs to get it out through the British controlled (sic) sector round Basra, which is exempt from checks. He needs the help of a British vet to get it to the US, and wants to know how much I will want to help him!No mention at this stage of how much he wants me to send him, no doubt via Western Union.
How does he know you are a vet. Surely this onfo can ony have come from someone who knows you.
And why would an animal doctor be able to help a dodgy US soldier smuggle cash through the British zone in Basra...
It is obvious that there are vets on this forum, just as most are aware that the FE's Dad is a vet, though if he's like me he probably hates the term.
Probably picking on vets because he knows how much you charge, now thats robbery.
1. Vet2. Cash3. Cat1 stuffs 2 into 3. Job done.
and picked up a "Veterinarian" rather than a "Veteran"
Does he want help getting the currency out or the barrel?
