Royal Mail Postal scam

This may be of interest to everyone, the Trading Standards Office is making people aware of scam. A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) saying they could not deliver a parcel and you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number)DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam from Belize. If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will have already been billed £15 for the call. If you do receive a card with theae details, then contact Royal Mail Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS ( the premium rate regulator)or click here. I hope I have posted this so at least it helps the forum.

that we've had several previous threads on this topic.

This scam was operating about a year ago - in December 2005 - but was shut down back at the beginning of this year.

In fact, the part about the £15 call charge was an urban myth - it never happened. It isn't possible for a £15 call charge to be made in this way. People who rang the number were charged at £1.50 a minute, which is bad enough.

Doesn't ring true, there are no Premium Numbers starting with 09 that can charge £15. Also your Title is misleading - it has nothing to do with Royal Mail.
