Robotic AA gun goes haywire on the range

On a South African range it let loose 250 high-explosive 0,5kg 35mm cannon shells, killing 9 soldiers and wounding 11 others. Something yet unkown went tragically wrong and others had to take cover until the self-loading magazines emptied!

It would seem to me a safety master power cut-off switch is needed, even after they sort this lethal malfunction out. TC. click here

Not easy to get near it to do a "reboot"

Would this be classed as coming under fire from friendly forces?.

Was it not all that long away, when a certain make of car was stopping unexpectedly when it past certain electrical forces. Took some time, for the experts realised what was the culprit. Electronics can be a very funny thing, if that was the problem.
