Return of Yogi Bear

This was one of my favourite cartoons as a child click here

Having watched the trailer at the bottom of the page, I can't help feeling that the hi tech 3D return may be impressive but has lost the "magic" of the old cartoons.

It HAS lost the "magic" of the old cartoons.

What about the 50 plus year chase for Roadrunner

Wacky Races ( I think that's in production )

Huckleberry Hound, Quickdraw McGraw, The Pink Panther, Top Cat, Deputy Dawg, Captain Caveman, Atom Ant the list goes on ....

As soon as you combine real people and animated fur coats then you may as well not bother. To me "proper" drawn cartoons cannot be imitated by this method. I still watch my favourites that I recorded on VHS years ago for the kids and converted to DVD. Wile E Coyote falling from the mountain top and creating a small mushroom cloud of dust on hitting the desert floor is what it's all about.

... when Wile E Coyote fell off the cliff but for a moment his sad faced head or his paw with a sign stays still.
