I did not know you could register a colour as a trademark as the Post Office seem to have done.

"Royal Mail, the Royal Mail Cruciform, the colour red and SmartStamp are all registered trademarks of Royal Mail Group plc."

The Mobile phone company Orange & EasyJet have recently been in court over the use of the colour "Orange".

It's all to do with the shade of the colour as in 'Post Office Red' and 'Battleship Grey' etc.

hve special colours developed for them, and these are registered as trademarks.

Try using the Heinz baked bean label colour on your tinned peaches and see what happens.
