I doubt if the majority of people could name any living English poet - not even the current incumbent of the post of laureate.

Pam Ayres is not a poet. She assembles rhyming words for comic effect.

The same might be said of popular song writers - ever listened to the inanity of the words of pop songs?

I am confused by the two separate stories.
