Apple only uses the term..they didn't think of it so to speak.

Plus Podcast is a little too close to the iPod and is a terrible name...

The people at Apple are getting above themselves.

The next stage for the company is, I suppose, restricting the use of the word "apple" to apply only to their products so the fruit that has that name at the moment will have to change.

Then, of course there is the "Mac" part of their company. All the Scottish clans that use this will be in breach of the law as will a well known purveyor of processed meat products - but, of course, they've already tried that when they told members of the clan McDonald that the company owns the name and the clan McDonald weren't permitted to use it

From Wikipedia:

"The company has threatened many food businesses with legal action unless they drop the Mc or Mac from their trading name. In one noteworthy case, McDonald's sued a Scottish café owner called McDonald, even though the business in question dated back over a century."
