A man who abused two vulnerable girls has won an appeal against deportation on human rights grounds.

Now I know all the arguments about human rights and asylum etc. but this surely cannot be right or reasonable?

Of course he should stay! He has shown exemplary skill in adapting to the British way of life.

(tongue firmly in cheek)

Ah Yes!

Sorry, he's not a paedophile, just a child abuser.

Of course he should be allowed to stay.

And to add insult to injury he is being released halfway through his sentence

Had the crime taken place in Pakistan, the two victims would probably have got the justice they were entitled to

Will social services get involved for the sake of this child and because of this mans history

a total disgrace, the judge should be sacked.

Makes you wonder what planet these judges live on.

a disgraceful appeal decision.

  sunnystaines 17:37 24 Apr 2010

there was a time not long ago before immigration became out of control and the gov't became very lax. That any foriegn national charged with an imprisonable offence was served noticed of possible deportion on conviction as part of the sentence, and the defaulter was allowed only 7 days in which to appeal to the sentencing magistrate or judge.

not sure when the above procedure was scrapped used to be called the "IM3" deportation.

So, the judge who heard all of the case, saw all of the evidence and has a full and working knowledge of the law is a disgrace in the eyes of those who read a sensational tabloid headline.
