At 40kg, he's about half the weight of most adults...

he'll have a rough time with chronic illnesses as he grows.

Poor little devil, he's definitely not going to make old bones at that rate, shame.

Does his mother and father not care about him. Being Double the normal weight should tell them something.

It all might be puppy fat gulp....

I stagger people when they find out the weight of my children at birth a real conversation stopper,

You got to take into concideration that I'm adverage hieght (5 ft 4) and about 8 1/2 stone; weights went No. 1= 10 lb 10oz N0.2 = 10lb 12oz and the real jaw dropper was my 3rd little one= 11 lbs 13oz yes I did type 11lbs 13oz...

Two reasons why I blame my mum, I'm a twin and I was 8lbs 9oz and my sister was 6lb's 9oz's and poor old mum was just under 5ft tall!

And the other reason being that I was brought up with if you wasn't prepared to put 100% into it, then don't bother!

They've all skined out but even my youngest is about 2" taller than me :-(

The problem is with this type of thing, especially in a 'low wage' area. The parents may use the child as a fund raising enterprise, so as to increase their daily cash intake, for essential every day items. Fun and curiosity to start of with, but can turn to sadness if not supervised by authority.

He should do well as a sumo wrestler!

  Wak 14:35 13 Jul 2006

If he is about 3ft. 6 ins tall and his build remains constant then I reckon he will be dead well before he is 40.

  Fred Heartsun 00:03 14 Jul 2006

but note that he is also building up his muscle. Sumo is also a martial art. And they do last a lot longer than 40 years.

I would be much more concerned about under weight children but I suppose that they do not make headlines now.

I don't think there are any Chinese Sumo wrestlers, Mongolians, Hawaiians and Samoans certainly. But the Chinese and the Japanese, still don't get on. The Japanese refusal to apologise for or even accept their war crimes understandably grates. There was a lot of anger in China when Zhang Zhiyi acted as a geisha in the movie.
