I watched Top Gear last night, where it was the race to the North Pole, and James May pulled out a Jesus Christ action figure, and you press a button on him and he reads out the scripture!

I'd buy them.

The Victorians and the Edwardians used to give their children toy Noah's ark and the toy animals to go with it so I suppose the Americans are just doing much the same. Not my cup of tea and I would not buy any such thing for my children.

There is more violence in the bible than anywhere else I know. It seems if you don't agree with God you are very likely to get "Smitten". Then there's that Herod fella. If Jesus hadn't been hidden in the bull-rushes what on earth would have happened? Then Moses drowned all those poor people who were trying to kill the Israelites. That poor giant met his lot at the hands of a young yob with a catapult. Then there's fiery furnaces and all sorts of gory things going on. I think I will give my grand children the money and let them choose for themselves.

Just for the record: Jesus wasn't hidded in the bullrushes that was Moses thousands of years earlier.

Wouldn't have thought that there was any real need to mock the good book here, especially with inaccurate reporting.
Would you do the same with the Koran,Talmud etc?
Some how I don't think so.

It's a long time since I read a (the ) good book. I mean begetting of course.
