Old folk who are house bound or poor do not fear prison . The prisoners are better looked after than innocent people. When I needed a wheelchair for my wife I was told quote" three consultants and our own doc where not qualified to decide if she needed a chair and in any case prisoners came first!" They admitted that because while I was waiting 5 MONTHS for a reply I found they had spent all that time with prisoners! They never gave us one and we had to pay for it - and no we do not claim disabled or what ever its called - much to the dismay of our specialist's. At more than three score and ten I am her full time career.
I agree with you IF you have a good quality of life - but in some cases it is not a privilege. There is no pleasure in seeing the one you love suffering! If you also had the problem of paying the bills to give the sick person a bit of comfort - who knows what we would do!
