Still not sure if the "Today" programme this morning had a April Fool. They claimed trains in a region were having extended bar codes painted on the engine sections and a smart phone app would allow you to see the route etc and if the train was on time - a modern day train spotting geek's app. Surely a joke?

I've just got back from shopping. Driving through the village a number of cars had yellow 'parking fine' cards tucked under the windscreen.

I like the one about the "Lights Tsar" in the "Telegraph" it reminds me of the ARP during the war. For some reason it also reminds me of that Pertwee fella in "Dad's Army"
