A new road bridge over the Forth opens today.

It runs between Fife and Falkirk.

So they've called it the Clackmannanshire Bridge.

I look forward to the next Thames Crossing being called the Canbrigeshire Bridge!

"although it's not in Clackmannanshire"...? click here 'bout time, I've spent hours in the past waiting to cross at Kincardine when it's been too windy at the Forth bridge.

Its a conspiracy to thwart the English, that name does not roll of the tongue easily, it will probably get shortened to Clacky Bridge.

Why?

"he promised to buy me a drink should my representations that the crossing be named the Clackmannanshire Bridge be successful"

Never thought of that.

Any idea what he's offering if his suggestion for the New/Upper/Second Forth Road Bridge is accepted?
