How can returning a council's property be described as fly-tipping. I suppose it only makes sense in the mind of a council employee.

Is there a text version of that story? Your link is the video stream which I can't access at work.

Interesting - I would dump it back where it came from!

I couldn't find a text version, but to summerise:

Residents on the seafront in St Annes (nr Blackpool) have been threatened with court action for returning sand that blows into their gardens back to the beach from whence it came.

The council has deemed this as fly-tipping, as you cannot dump contents of a private garden onto the beach.

I suppose it must make sense to someone, but I'm baffled at this logic

I would love to meet the council official that came up with this one.

Perhaps he should sue the council for failing to control its sand in a responsible manner ?

How wonderful some people control us, I know we vote for them, trouble is I don't.

Fairly sure that they will class it an act of God.
