Is your M/B hotter than your processor. I am only on the net but my uprgraded PC running M/B
32c and the CPU 29c. I am looking forward to a hot summer this year. No watercooling.

Yes, my motherboard is currently at 42oC and the E6600 is at 20oC

Are you using the original cooler?

Yes, it's the stock aluminium cooler. The temperature goes up to around 30oC when I'm rendering video scenes.

Is that not a little high or normal?

According to Asus

'Stack Cool 2 is a fan-less and zero-noise cooling solution offered exclusively by ASUS. It effectively transfers heat generated by the critical components to the other side of the specially designed PCB (printed circuit board) for effective heat dissipation.'

If the temps are no more than 65oC and typically 45oC then it's OK.

Is that not a little close to 45c at this time of year?
