Is it just me, as usual, or am I totally out of touch.
I've just been reading this thread click here and not for the first time does it appear that although there is a DVD writer included on a PC, it has come with no software with which to use it.
Then there is the scandal of the firm saying not to use DVD RWs. (same thread)
The problems that can occur without a Floppy disk drive are known as being virtually insurmountable, eg when Windows XP demands a floppy with SATA drives on it during an installation.
I have 2 friends who have bought a certain very well known brand of PC recently, which have the same facility missing as mentioned by someone else here, namely a Restart Button on the front of the PC Case.
I get the feeling that the people responsible for selling these PCs do not envisage any problems, and have never really used their machines in real life.
Or is there a perfectly rational explanation for the omissions?
