Former prime minister Sir John Major has accused the government of "over-cooking" the economic crisis to justify the rising size of its debt.

A Labour Government is just not ready for the downturn economically.
If the £ is not supported it could go into freefall wiping Billions off shares & effecting the £ for years to come.
Is it Brown running the country or does Darling have a say?

The INTEREST on our debts is £260 million a day....I watched Major earlier and he was talking sense.

As a small aside, the more I see of Cameron, the more I see John Major as the most scintillating dinner guest ever!

I doubt that you would chose Brown before Cameron.

I'd choose Krusty the Clown before Gordon the Gormless as an interesting dinner guest...
