I have to replace my pond liner and will take the opportunity to find out exactly how much the pond holds. In the past I have used the height x length x width (in feet) x 7.48 calculation which gave me the volume in good old gallons, I prefer Imperial measurements.
I have found a ‘water meter’ click here , which I bought, second-hand, ages ago but never used. Of course the instructions aren't to be found so could anyone explain how I would interpret the dials as some of the smaller ones are showing readings and I cannot see any way of re -setting them!
Having said all that I must explain, I am to the measurement of volume using the metric system what Pavarotti was to hang-gliding!!
