Last night at 2200 hours (10pm) we saw; what looked like five burning objects passing from South East to North West accross the south east of England.

Did anyone else see them?.

I notified the BBC newesdesk (about 2215 hours), but there is no mention of them .

What I am curious about about is :

What were they and did they land (?) near you and have you any reports of damage in your area about that time.

Chinese lanterns perhaps? They’re very common now.

Not sure what they could be,maybe just random meteoroids, the next showers possibly worth looking out for are

Meteor shower

Because i work nights in the morning,if no cloud and before sunrise,in the southern sky you will see the wonderful sight of Venus and Jupiter with a crescent moon.

"....what looked like five burning objects passing from South East to North West accross the south east of England."

Possibly the floating lanterns mentioned by Confab. Some of them are very large, and can travel considerable distances before the fuel runs out.
