can anyone let me know if you can put manx money into your english bank accounts and is it the same value as sterling

UK notes and coins are generally accepted in the Isle of Man. Although there is no legal impediment, Manx notes and coins are generally not accepted in the United Kingdom, and travellers are advised to exchange them before leaving the island.

Barclays used to exchange it, but now they have joined the rest as they don't make any money on it.Even the bureau de change won't change it.
As for paying it into an account..not sure.
But it is the same value as pounds sterling.
Perhaps it's best to phone your bank on monday and ask if you can pay it into an account.
I know you are advised to rid yourself of all manx money before you return to the mainland.

The Isle of Man is no more, they now like to be called "The Isle of Sam"
