That's a bit rich coming from him.

I would prefer it if he got the person who allowed them to get away with it to apologise that is after he makes sure that these people who ran Rover for their own advantage prosecuted.

1) This shows the firm smack of Government. The directors must be absolutely bricking it.
2) £16 million to produce a report that does nothing apart from finger-wagging..yet again someone is benefiting from mug taxpayers' money/yawn

the four people involved should never have been allowed to get hold of the company in the first place. That they were able to do so is - as has been pointed out - entirely down to the government's total inability to understand what was going on at the time.

They insist they've done nothing illegal.

Now why does that have a familiar ring to it?

Pot calling the kettle black.

I think that the government DID understand what was happening. There just happened to be an Election taking place; it wouldn't have done to lose so many jobs in a Labour heartland just then, would it?

Cynical, moi? Heaven forfend ;)

The Phoenix Four were merely another example of how easy it is to over-impress this pathetic shower, just as they were impressed by how clever the bankers were at making easy money.

As for Mandelson... pffft!
