Major Overhaul to the Opera Browser

This is a little surprising to me as it is not long since 8.02 was released, though I heard there was some major work going on with IMAP mail. Bit Torrent support was available in a preview release, but dropped in the final for some reason.

A simplified interface would be helpful to new users. I use a cut-down version myself to limit the number of menu items available.

Next week 8.5?

I thought it would 8.1 with BT support.

The thread is still running, though I haven't been following the beta program since the release of 8.02 final.

No registration fee and no ad banner, and just weeks after I took up the 10th birthday free registration offer. Glad I haven't just recently paid $39. click here

I'm just waiting for all the complaints for those who have paid for it recently. The paid-for version offers email support and an Opera mail account.

I've never understood why people found the banner-ad so annoying, especially since targetted Google ads have been an option.
