He's looking at a sentence of up to 150 years.

Bernard Madoff is 70.

The BBC news says he's likely to spend the rest of his life in jail.

Well, unless he lives to 221, in which case he'll be free, but may well be institutionalised by then...

in his luxury apartment. It's a hard life!!

But he was still under house arrest when I posted, only later in the day was he jailed.

"He's looking at a sentence of up to 150 years."

That works out at about $3,3m per year.

Not a bad salary!

As soon as he admitted guilt his bail was revoked and he was jailed...

  interzone55 09:27 13 Mar 2009

As well as the up to 150 years in jail he's looking at a possible $170bn in restitution payments.

I'd say there's as much chance of him paying that as there is of him serving the full 150 years...
