The increasingly stringent internet blocking imposed by our US owners has now started in impact on my work. Several websites I use daily for research are now blocked, one site comes up with the reason Profanity / Nudity, it's a Taiwanese network switch supplier so I've no idea why the firewall kicks up that warning.
Anyway, along with several other staff in the office, I've been forced to start using an anonymous proxy so we can get our jobs done. The upshot of this is that the BBC news page, which is my home page, now shows a couple of adverts, which looks most odd...
I'm feeling that the answer is 1) for the owners, who wouldn't impose such stupid policies if they had any clue about the impact, and 3) for the on-site IT team, one of whom gave me the proxy I'm using at the moment
